CCMpower: Empowering students through unique experiences

Molly Getsinger is a rising star in the conducting world, and graduates this spring with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from UC’s College-Conservatory of Music. A musician at an early age, her earliest musical memories are of taking piano lessons and singing in the school choir. When she entered high school, she had the opportunity to conduct her marching band as the drum major, and her passion for conducting was born.

CCM Arts Administration student wins Gena Branscombe Project Award

In its inaugural year, the Gena Branscombe Project has awarded its 2020 scholarships to four women, including UC College-Conservatory of Music Arts Administration student Sydney Pepper. The scholarships support the winners in their continuing pursuit of undergraduate and graduate studies and shine “a light on exceptional emerging, talented, women in music.”

Cincinnati Business Courier: Choral directors get creative during the pandemic

The choral community across the country has worked to develop creative solutions to figure out how 54 million people who sing in American choruses can do so safely. CCM voice professor Amy Johnson releases 'Portrait of an Artist'

UC College-Conservatory of Music Assistant Professor of Voice Amy Johnson released her first solo album, "Portrait of an Artist," this summer. The album showcases Johnson’s wide range of vocal abilities, features works in six languages and four pieces that have never been featured on professionally-released albums.

Hope After Hate: E-Media professor shares father's Holocaust survival story

June 13, 2019

Inspired by her own father’s experience, UC College-Conservatory of Music E-Media Professor Hagit Limor set out to create Moniek’s Legacy, a multimedia tool that captures the journey of a Holocaust survivor with lessons to inspire action against future acts of hatred. With support from the CCM Harmony Fund, Limor and 15 students in her fall 2019 Media Topics class will travel to Poland and Germany in October to work on the project.
