Originally presented via Zoom on March 19, 2021, the lecture is now available for on-demand viewing.

CCM and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) have selected five outstanding musicians for the next class of CSO/CCM Diversity Fellows. Born out of a mutual desire to make American orchestras more inclusive, this prestigious performance fellowship program was launched in 2015 with a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The Foundation approved a renewal grant of $850,000 in 2017, providing funding for the innovative program through June 2021.

For children who use wheelchairs, Halloween is a chance to be the envy of every kid in the neighborhood. Students at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) are putting their talents to use outside the theater by building costumes dreamt up by children, and customizing those costumes to fit each child's power chair. The creations, a result of more than 30 hours of work in the CCM Costume Shop, will be on full-display at May We Help’s annual Halloween Festival.

Watch this mini-documentary by CCM Media Production to get an inside look at the dazzling collaboration between the college's Theatre Design and Production department and Hughes STEM High School art students. In spring 2021, UC College-Conservatory of Music Theatre Design and Production students partnered with Hughes STEM High School art students on a light show that was projected onto Hughes’ beautiful and historic façade. Themed around Afrofuturism and visions of the future, the project is supported of Prestige AV, Vincent Lighting Systems, Lightborne Communications and UC Forward.

The UC College-Conservatory of Music is proud to announce that Anthony Dorsey, a longtime student in the CCM Starling Preparatory String Project, was recently named a semi-finalist in the annual Sphinx Competition. Dorsey is joined at the semi-finals by Sonya Moomaw, a former student of CCM Prep’s Junior Strings Program. Based in Detroit, the Sphinx Organization is a nationwide social justice organization which fosters the talents of Black and Latinx string players and promotes diversity in classical music.
