CCM Oboe Prof. Titus Underwood explores his ultimate playlist with BBC

First year UC College-Conservatory Oboe Professor Titus Underwood was recently featured on BBC’s Inside Sounds, sharing 16 tracks that are near and dear to his heart and carry musical influence over his performance. Underwood is the principal oboe of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, a member of the UK-based Chineke! Orchestra, and a 2021 Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient.

Students from the Media Production Division at UC's College-Conservatory of Music won five College Student Production Awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. CCM Media Production won more awards than any other program, college or university that competed in the Ohio Valley four-state region.

CCM Professor Awadagin Pratt spotlighted for commitment to inclusion in the arts

Uc College-Conservatory of Music Professor of Piano and Artist-in-Residence Awadagin Pratt spoke to the Cincinnati Business Courier about his aspirations to diversify the arts industry by encouraging the next generation Black American pianists. Pratt was one of three recipients of the 2021 Sphinx Venture Fund, generating an award of $100,000 to kick-start the biannual Nina Simone Piano Competition beginning summer 2023.
