UC’s College-Conservatory of Music offers dozens of different general studies and arts elective courses in fall 2022. These credit-granting courses are open to all UC students and cover a wide range of topics including dance, movies and media, music and theatre arts!

The college’s fall 2022 schedule of free and ticketed events is now available. Tickets go on sale beginning on Monday, Aug. 22, through the CCM Box Office website.

During the 2022-23 performance season, the UC College-Conservatory of Music will continue to offer digital programs for all of its free and ticketed events in place of printed programs. These paperless programs will be available on CCM's website, and they can also be accessed via smartphone/mobile device by scanning the Quick Response (QR) code displayed outside of each CCM performance venue.

UC College-Conservatory of Music piano professor Awadagin Pratt is preparing debut performances with both the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, playing a commissioned work by contemporary composer Jessie Montgomery.

UC College-Conservatory of Music Interim Dean Jonathan Kregor has announced the addition of Sara Daneshpour to the college’s roster of distinguished performing and media arts faculty members. Daneshpour’s appointment as Assistant Professor of Piano begins on Aug. 15, 2023.

Applications for the inaugural Nina Simone Piano Competition for African American Pianists are now open. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2023, and applications can be accessed online. Taking place in the summer of 2023, this bi-annual competition is specifically for talented young African American pianists.

University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Professor Michelle Conda is a recipient of the 2023 Frances Clark Center Lifetime Achievement Award. Her extensive contributions to the field of piano pedagogy is extraordinary. Her influence and impact on the profession are demonstrated across the country and internationally, exemplifying outstanding dedication to the field of music and piano teaching.

The Ariel Quartet closes their 2022-23 season Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Werner Recital Hall. The emotional program, centered around the Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor and featuring faculty artist Soyeon Kate Lee, also includes works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn. Tickets are on sale now through the CCM Box Office.

UC's College-Conservatory of Music is proud to present alumni and distinguished service awards to outstanding members of our community at the end of each academic year. The 2023 awards are presented to five accomplished alumni and one dedicated patron in a private virtual event as well as during the CCM's Graduation Convocation Ceremony on Friday, April 28.
