Geoffrey Pinski joined the University of Cincinnati as a full-time employee in 2007, but that's just one milestone in his journey at UC. The son of a physics professor, Pinski first came to UC in 1987 when his dad was hired. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics with a minor in mathematics in 1992, followed by a Juris Doctor degree in 2006.

Max Kemats' aspirations extend beyond personal success; he envisions a future in innovation where his dedication will forge impactful solutions forward in a wave of positive change. Currently studying economics in the University of Cincinnati's Carl H. Lindner College of Business with a planned minor in public health, Kemats said being selected for the NEXT Innovation Scholars (NIS) program was what solidified his choice of UC.

Meet Madison Bourbon, a University of Cincinnati staffer who helps harness the intellectual capital discovered at the university. Bourbon is a senior licensing associate for the Technology Transfer team in the 1819 Innovation Hub and is pursuing her master’s in molecular genetics, biochemistry and microbiology at UC.

In August 2022, UC opened the esports lab in the 1819 Innovation Hub. Since then, the lab has become a hub of activity, providing a home base for the UC esports club and a tournament venue for statewide esports programs, benefiting gamers and STEM students.
