Renee Richardson, a staff member in Judaic Studies and longtime UC employee, was once told she would never graduate from college. This year, she graduates with her second bachelor s degree. On top of her work and academic demands, she has faced one loss after another, including the murder of one of her sons in Indianapolis.

Nancy L. Zimpher, chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will become the 25th president of the University of Cincinnati on Oct. 1. Zimpher was recommended to the UC Board of Trustees by a Presidential Search Committee on Tuesday, culminating a search underway since Nov. 26, 2002.
