The 2004 Ropes Lecture Series presents "Languages of Imperialism: The Cultural Dimensions of Conquest" at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Room 427 of the Engineering Research Center. Featuring visiting authors Susan Hegeman and John Carlos Rowe, the event is free and open to the public.

The WISE (Women in Science & Engineering) program and REWU (Research Experience for Women Undergraduates) includes a summer stipend of $4,000, professional research experience and mentoring.
