Groundbreaking UC startup propels aviation safety to new heights

Local innovators Chris Kyoochul Lee, Jon Taylor and Huzefa Dossaji, offer a promising new startup solution to revolutionize aircraft ground handling process for enhanced safety. They co-founded Airtrek Robotics, creating an autonomous robot that oversees ground crew tasks like aircraft marshaling and foreign object debris (FOD) management. The technology operates within the aircraft safety envelope, ensuring no person or object is within the restricted perimeter during aircraft maneuvers.

UC graduate lands dream research role

This spring, Rich obtained her Bachelor of Science in industrial design from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). She credited her career opportunity with the Blue Ash, Ohio, company with her experiences as a UC NEXT Innovation Scholar (NIS).

Spring break renaissance: Makerspace becomes haven for innovation

After opening the space during "Maker Break," UC faculty and students populated the 12,000-square-foot prototyping and fabrication haven in a win-win opportunity, acquiring machine certification and the time to complete their senior capstone and passion projects.
