By: Joí Dean As a freshman, Victoria Popritkin, the current president of NeuroSociety , a third-year neuroscience and vocal performance major, was in search of an organization that would complement both of her future career choices. Right away Popritkin felt that the student organization NeuroSociety, was a place for people with a variety of different career paths and not a road that would only lead to medical school. According to CampusLink, NeuroSociety, is a group of undergraduate students looking to learn more about the brain and the career fields associated with neuroscience through speakers, movies and hands-on activities.

UC College-Conservatory of Music Dean Stanley E. Romanstein has announced the addition of accomplished baritone Elliot Madore to the college’s roster of distinguished performing and media arts faculty members. One of the most sought-after singers of his generation, Madore has performed throughout Europe, Canada and the US. His new appointment as Associate Professor of Voice at CCM begins on Aug. 15, 2021.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) have selected five outstanding musicians for their next class of CSO/CCM Diversity Fellows. Born out of a mutual desire to help American orchestras become more inclusive and better represent the communities they serve, the performance fellowship program was launched in 2015 and continues with a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
