Lindner welcomes new assistant dean of Career Services

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business has tabbed Sandra English, JD, MPA, as its new assistant dean of Lindner Career Services. English will provide leadership and direction in support of Lindner’s cooperative education mission and goals.

Lindner first-year students pilot co-op requirement

The onset of the 2023-24 academic year at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business ushered in the first phase of the college’s universal co-op program rollout. Beginning with the current fall semester, universal co-op became a voluntary, opt-in requirement for traditional, first-year students.

2022-23 Lindner graduates secure jobs at record rate

October 6, 2023

For the third successive academic year, Lindner undergraduate and graduate students achieved new records for job placement post-graduation. Within three months of graduating from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business and the University of Cincinnati, 93% of 2022-23 undergraduate students secured employment, a 6.5% increase since 2018. The placement rate for graduate students (98%) was even higher.

Lindner’s Transfer Ambassadors detail their journeys to UC

“I looked into Lindner and UC, and everything played out perfectly for me to come down here. And I’m loving it so far.” Suffice to say, Alejandro Diaz, BBA, BS, ’22, an international student from Honduras, is at peace with his decision to transfer to the University of Cincinnati from Bluffton University in northwest Ohio last year. The same could be said for Anna Walters, BBA, ’23, who traded in the University of Southern California (USC) for UC.

Lindner Business Fellows homecoming event puts growth on full display

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business’ Office of Inclusive Excellence hosted current students, alumni and supporters from across the university to celebrate the office’s signature Business Fellows program on Oct. 12. The event also recognized the program’s founders and early champions.

Lindner students network, absorb evolving retail industry in New York City

February 13, 2023

Last month, 13 students from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business attended the National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation’s Student Program in New York City to learn about the retail industry, meet recruiters, and hear from retail executives in marketing, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, merchandising, technology, talent and diversity and inclusion over the course of four days.

Pathway to Lindner program recognized for inclusive excellence

The University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business’ Withrow University High School of Business Pathway to Lindner program was recently recognized with the Inspiring Programs in Business Award from INSIGHT into Diversity magazine. The award recognizes university programs that support underrepresented students on their path to becoming future business leaders by providing support from recruitment through graduation.
