CSO and CCM announce 2021-23 class of Diversity Fellows

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) have selected five outstanding musicians for their next class of CSO/CCM Diversity Fellows. Born out of a mutual desire to help American orchestras become more inclusive and better represent the communities they serve, the performance fellowship program was launched in 2015 and continues with a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

WLWT: UC returns to campus

The University of Cincinnati began holding in-person Orientation sessions for incoming students and their parents July 12. The activities will continue until the week before classes begin at UC on Monday, Aug. 23.

Biomedical engineering student driven to help others

July 21, 2021

University of Cincinnati biomedical engineering student Linda Yoder was named Engineer of the Month by the College of Engineering and Applied Science at UC. Yoder has co-op internship experience at medical device companies Cook Medical and Vein360. She's maximized her time at UC in student groups including Engineers Without Borders, Mortar Board, Out in STEM and Makers Club.

Civil engineering student awarded for leadership by national group

Autumn Maher, a University of Cincinnati civil engineering student who will graduate in 2022, was one of just a few students nationwide selected for the 2021 Student Leadership Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), for her leadership and dedication to the UC student chapter. Maher is president of UC's student chapter and has interned at Marathon Petroleum.

UC student infuses art and design into Cincinnati’s newest sports venue

Emily Baxter, fine arts senior in UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, spent her co-op working for RARECulture, a New York-based design firm, but worked right here in the Queen City creating wall plaques and historical designs for the region's new sports venue: TQL Stadium, home of major league soccer team FC Cincinnati.

Co-op leads to full-time job for civil engineering student

Tanner Alley, civil engineering student, landed a full-time job thanks to his experience in the University of Cincinnati cooperative education program that is integrated into the engineering undergraduate curriculum. Alley was named Undergraduate Engineer of the Month by the UC College of Engineering and Applied Science.
