Violin alum Christopher Robinson receives 2021 Knights Arts Champion Award

UC College-Conservatory of Music Alumnus Christopher Robinson (BM Violin, ‘15) was recently announced as a 2021 Knights Arts Champion by the Knight Foundation in Miami, Florida. The Foundation selects community leaders who have contributed to the region’s arts and culture scene and awards them $10,000 to direct to a South Florida artist or arts organization of their choice. Robinson is the Founder/Co-Artistic Director of VIA Academy, a free summer music program for young aspiring musicians from remote and underrepresented communities in classical music. He is also a recent alumnus of the New World Symphony in Miami and currently performs in the second violin section of the Louisville Orchestra.

UC researcher examines impact of mass incarceration on youth, family health

Samantha Boch of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, having worked as a prison nurse while working to get her doctorate is now devoting her time to research the impact of mass incarceration on child and family health. She was involved with two research papers that got published in 2021.

Lindner announces innovative partnership with CPS high school

The University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business and the Withrow University High School of Business have established the Withrow University High School of Business Pathway to Lindner College of Business program, which will prepare Withrow students for higher education — more specifically in business areas of study.
