WCPO: Blink muralist creates ‘love letter’ for Ukraine

Muralist Jenny Ustick covered by media for her participation in Blink 2022, an arts and light festival. Ustick, an associate professor in UC’s School of Art, within the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), is one of the most prominent muralists in the region with murals in seven U.S. states and projects stemming from residencies in Argentina and Italy.

University of Cincinnati commits $12M to advance ‘Next’ inclusive culture

The University of Cincinnati is committing $12 million to grow inclusive excellence by leveraging diverse perspectives to advance innovation, creativity and complex problem solving in biomedical research. The new program, FIRST+ Lives Here for Urban Health, aligns with the National Institutes of Health’s FIRST (Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation) Program and advances the university’s Next Lives Here strategic direction.

Advances made in UC research extending lives

Treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — a type of high blood pressure that affects arteries in the lungs and in the heart — have improved significantly over the past 15 to 20 years and researchers at the University of Cincinnati have been at the forefront of those improvements. The result of a series of studies UC researchers were part of have allowed new medications to come to market for patients with PAH.

UC College of Law celebrates new facility, hosts Sept. 13 grand opening

The University of Cincinnati College of Law will host a grand opening for its new home, a $45.6 million renovation now located near the heart of the Uptown campus. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting for the building at 2925 Campus Green Drive is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13.
