Sports media production program provides real-world experience for UC students

Cincinnati CityBeat featured students in the sports media production program at UC who participate in an experience-based learning effort that allows them to work outside of the classroom to produce and direct television broadcasts that air live on ESPN+. It’s the result of a partnership between CCM, ESPN+ and UC Athletics. The class is also part of UC’s Co-op 2.0 program.

UC ranks 12th in nation for social media

Social media analytics platform Rival IQ ranked UC No. 12 among NCAA Division-I schools in its annual Higher Education Social Media Engagement Report. The ranking represents a major move for the university, up from No. 179 in 2021. Notably this year, UC’s Instagram presence ranked No. 7.

Growth at UC brings largest first-year class ever

The University of Cincinnati recorded its largest enrollment ever this week as the official head count landed at 47,914 students for the fall semester. The figure represents nearly a 2.6% increase over last year’s enrollment or an additional 1,204 students.

UC Family Weekend draws more than 5,000 participants to the Uptown campus

UC Family Weekend was designed to introduce families to university life. The three-day event attracted more than 5,000 people to the Uptown campus Sept. 16-18. A pep rally, a movie night in Nippert Stadium, an evening barbecue along with host of activities on Schneider Quad offered something for UC students, their siblings, parents and other supporters.
