Five television stations from across Greater Cincinnati featured segments on UC's Decision Day 2024. Thousands of high school students from across the region learned they were admitted to the University of Cincinnati for Fall 2024. Applications to UC approached nearly 33,000, a 7% increase over last year.

One day a week, eight UC students travel to the institution as part of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program, where they and eight incarcerated individuals discuss criminal justice topics such as sentencing, parole, life after prison and recidivism in a classroom setting. The program is part of a class taught by J.Z. Bennett, an assistant professor of criminal justice.

The University of Cincinnati has partnered with Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to broaden access to higher education for CPS students by creating the College Innovation Pathway. It allows high school students to earn credits for an associate degree while completing their high school diploma. Launch UC is helping move this initiative forward.

UC's Ohio Innocence Project helped earn freedom for a Cleveland man after more than 14 years in prison. Michael Sutton was one of two men convicted in 2006 as a teenager for the shooting of two people and the attemped shooting of a police officer. He and Kenny Phillips were freed on bond on May 3, 2021.
