As long as the owners mind certain formalities and steer clear of fraudulent conduct, the limited liability feature of these business entities will protect the owners from any personal liability with respect to their business activities. It goes without saying, that this dynamic by itself allows entrepreneurs to take risks they otherwise might not take.

They understand that the best leaders are those that can inspire and motivate a group of people to exert themselves to help achieve a common goal. In the words of leadership guru Jim Collins: “Leadership is the art of getting people to do what must be done.” Leadership starts with creating a vision, a common goal so people know where to go and how they will get there. As leaders, you must create the vision and provide the tools for your team to execute on the vision while inspiring them to make it a reality.

Pathway to Lindner program recognized for inclusive excellence

The University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business’ Withrow University High School of Business Pathway to Lindner program was recently recognized with the Inspiring Programs in Business Award from INSIGHT into Diversity magazine. The award recognizes university programs that support underrepresented students on their path to becoming future business leaders by providing support from recruitment through graduation.

Lindner students display talent, professionalism at Spring Sales Expo

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business’ Spring Sales Expo, hosted by the Center for Professional Selling, achieved record numbers last week, with more than 300 students packing Tangeman University Center’s Great Hall. Students sought to connect with recruiters, representing more than 50 organizations including some of Cincinnati’s top companies and national brands.

Soon after the NCAA updated its name, image and likeness (NIL) policy, Segal began to perfect his elevator speech and use it to make business connections in the community.
