DAAP’s Step Up to Art project draws media coverage to highlight public benefit

A UC research project out of the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP)’s grant accelerator program paired Bonansinga, a professor and director of DAAP’s School of Art, with Muhammad Rahman, an assistant professor of design, to research and develop a community enrichment program. The result: Step Up to Art, which recently completed a refresh on two City of Cincinnati public stairways.

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and safety Bryan Cook faced off in a primetime Sunday Night Football matchup inside MetLife Stadium to highlight Week 4 of NFL action for former Bearcats. The Sunday Night Football game totaled nearly 27 million viewers, the most-viewed game since Super Bowl LVII – which featured three former Bearcats.

U.S. News & World Report: PFAS chemicals tied to later puberty in girls

Research out of the University of Cincinnati shows that exposure to PFAs chemicals delays the onset of puberty in girls by an average of five to six months. The research was published in the journal PLOS One. U.S. News & World Report published a story on the study, featuring comments from lead researcher Susan Pinney, MD, of the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences.
