More research needs to be done to determine whether secondhand vaping is causing the same issues as secondhand cigarette smoke, but researchers such as UC's Ashley Merianos discourage vaping in the office. Merianos, a tobacco use researcher, was cited in an extensive article by The Daily Mail which covered the topic of vape use in the office.

Counseling services available to CCM students through embedded clinician

CCM students can now access counseling services within the CCM Village thanks to the addition of a CAPS embedded clinician. A member of UC’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) staff, Dalziel Reliford-Stone (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision (LPCC-S) who will serve as an embedded clinician for CCM and DAAP. In this new position, Dalziel hopes to work with students and staff to support a culture that embraces authenticity, self-acceptance and wholeness.

Broadcast Retirement Network: How wearables and AI can help treat heart ailments

Technology in wearables is improving to the point where they can play a major role in patient care. Broadcast Retirement Network (BRN) aired a segment on how predictive modeling through the use of artificial intelligence may help prevent major heart events. Richard Becker, MD, of the Division of Cardiovascular Health and Disease in the UC College of Medicine, has done research in this area and provided his expertise to BRN.
