Ashley Martin is a third-year student majoring in dietetics within the College of Allied Health Sciences. Outside of class, she is the captain of UC Dhadak International Dance Team, a nationally competitive Bollywood Fusion dance team that won first place at four national competitions last year.

Now an associate professor of communication sciences and disorders at UC s College of Allied Health Sciences, Pete Scheifele, PhD, got his start in science through the U.S. Navy. A Vietnam veteran, Scheifele served as a Navy diver and oceanographer for more than two decades, stationed on submarines, at Pearl Harbor and within naval think tanks.
