Romel Joseph is Haiti's most-recognized violinist. He overcame blindness as a boy to master the violin and later enter CCM at the age of 19. Now, he faces significant hurdles to recuperate from injuries suffered during Haiti's earthquake and to resume his musical career.

Music communicates a lot regarding how we remember a person, place, thing or idea. Music about Abraham Lincoln is no different. An ongoing UC research project is examining the American experience of Abraham Lincoln through the music written about him from 1865 to 2009.
