Allied Health to Sponsor Health-Related Majors Expo

Nurses in Concentration Camps Topic for Lecture

April 23, 2003

The UC Department of Psychiatry and College of Nursing, in collaboration with the Center for Holocaust & Humanity Education at Hebrew Union College and the Ohio Humanities Council, will host a May 1 lecture. Roger Ritvo will speak on the roles of women who, with courage and ingenuity, served as nurses and caretakers in the indecent and horrific environments in concentration camps.

Nurse Administrator Receives Marie Brown Award

Karen Bankston, RN, MSN, visiting assistant professor in the graduate program at the UC College of Nursing, was selected for the Marie Brown Award in recognition of her problem solving efforts for the hospital.
