The UC Neuroscience Institute will host the third annual wine tasting event, benefiting the UC Brain Tumor Center, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in the UC Myers Alumni Center. The tasting features dozens of wines to be sampled and purchased and a silent auction.

If you ve been required to schedule a neuroradiology procedure or test, chances are you have experienced the consummate professional and pleasant demeanor of Maria Kalp. With an 18-year background as a medical transcriptionist/secretary in Pennsylvania, she assumed the role of clinical assistant for the section of neuroradiology within the UC College of Medicine Department of Radiology in 2006. Here she tells us about why she enjoys coming to work every day.

Joyce LaClair, fellowship program coordinator for the division of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine who also provides administrative support to faculty in the division, has a true passion for health care that dates back to her time as a student at Xavier University when she also worked as a home health aide, taking care of the elderly nuns at Mount Notre Dame in Reading.
