UC Health is recruiting teams for the 2012 American Heart Association s Mini-Marathon. The event takes place from 6 a.m. to noon, Sunday, March 18, with start times staggered through the morning.

One year after their last trip, and two years after the January 2010 earthquake that leveled the country of Haiti, a team of UC faculty, physicians and nurses returned Port-au-Prince to volunteer at the nation s only trauma hospital.

Outside of UC, she runs her own glass beadmaking business, Sarandipity Beads, and teaches about religions and faith.
