Opening Day is April 5, and later that same week, University of Cincinnati sports researcher Kevin Grace will look back at how baseball has changed. He explores the rise and fall of baseball's "spitting image" -- one that began as early as the 1840s, when cigars were in fashion, to the 1860s, when the target audience for tobacco advertising included boys as young as 10 years old.
