The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's Orchestral and Choral programs unite to present J.S. Bach’s St. Mathew Passion at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 in Corbett Auditorium. Featuring the work of students, faculty and guest artists, the staged performance retells the story of the events leading up to the trial of Jesus, his crucifixion and burial.

The celebrated vocal ensemble Gallicantus will visit the UC College-Conservatory of Music from March 2-6 for a professional choral singing residency with CCM's Choral Studies program. Under the direction of Gabriel Crouch, Gallicantus specializes in early and renaissance music. The group's CCM residency includes public lectures and workshops on topics ranging from the music of William Byrd to practical advice on building a career in music. Bookending the residency are two public concerts at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains in downtown Cincinnati.

Cincinnati's classical public radio station, 90.9 WGUC, celebrates Cincinnati Opera's 100th anniversary with a series of special encore performances every Saturday through July. This Sunday, July 18, 2020, the radio station will broadcast the world premiere of "Fellow Travelers," featuring faculty and alumni from UC's College-Conservatory of Music.

The CCM Philharmonia reunites on the stage of Corbett Auditorium to present a socially-distanced virtual performance. Led by Director of Orchestral Studies Mark Gibson, the concert also features a performance by mezzo-soprano and CCM Professor Quinn Patrick Ankrum, DMA. Watch the performance video today. UC College-Conservatory of Music MFA Stage Management Marley Giggey recently received two award recognitions from the Peggy Ezekiel Awards at the USITT Ohio Valley Chapter. She presented her work for CCM’s 2020-21 productions Ariadne auf Naxos and La Rondine, which were performed without public audiences and under COVID restrictions.

Cincinnati Opera and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) are pleased to announce that their groundbreaking joint program, Opera Fusion: New Works, will host its next workshop for a new opera-in-progress this May. The featured opera currently has the working title of ROBESON Opera and includes music by Scott Davenport Richards and a libretto by Richards and David Cote. CCM Professor Robin Guarino will serve as dramaturg and stage director. ROBESON Opera will receive a 10-day workshop in Cincinnati from May 4 to 14, 2022, and the workshop will culminate in a public performance on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Music Hall’s Wilks Studio.
