UC Master of Health Administration Program secures accreditation from CAHME
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education awards UC with 3 year accreditation
The University of Cincinnati is proud to announce that its Master of Health Administration program has achieved a significant milestone by receiving accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). This achievement is a testament to the program's commitment to excellence, rigorous standards and dedication to providing a high-quality education to students.
For the past several years, program leaders and faculty members have spent countless hours preparing for a rigorous evaluation by CAHME. The Master of Health Administration program has long been recognized for its outstanding faculty, cutting-edge curriculum, and commitment to fostering the academic and personal growth of its students and this new accreditation is a validation of the program's unwavering dedication to providing a top-tier education in healthcare management and leadership.
Accreditation from CAHME represents an esteemed mark of quality and ensures that the program meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards for this field of study. Students, current and prospective, can have confidence in the program's ability to provide a product that will help them achieve the goals that they have set out for themselves.

"We are thrilled to receive accreditation from CAHME. This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and expertise of our faculty and staff, as well as the outstanding accomplishments of our students. It underscores our commitment to providing a program that prepares students for success in their careers and beyond," said program director Michelle Renee Chyatte, DrPH, MPH.
The benefits of accreditation are far-reaching and extend to students, faculty and the broader community. Employers will recognize the value of a degree from an accredited program and this recognition will open new doors for graduates as they pursue their career goals.
“Throughout the years I learned to deeply appreciate and value the rigorous process to become a CAHME accredited program," says Anne Mixon, MHA associate director of recruiting. "This commitment to excellence ensures that every facet of our program, from curriculum design to faculty expertise, meets the highest standards. It reflects our dedication to providing a transformative educational experience, fostering intellectual growth, and preparing students for success in their fields. The MHA program achieving this milestone is a testament to our commitment to quality education and continuous improvement, which ultimately benefits our students and contributes to their future achievements.”
“Programmatic accreditation is an essential endeavor aimed at guaranteeing the highest standards of quality, integrity, and ongoing enhancement within an academic program," says Molly Kollmann, MHA direcor of online student retention. "The MHA team exemplified remarkable collaboration, seamlessly uniting faculty, staff, and student workers. This, in turn, not only elevates educational quality but also enhances the prospects of our student’s future careers.”
