Twenty-two of the region s families are doing more than their fair share in boosting UC s freshman enrollment this fall. The largest incoming class at UC in more than 20 years boasts 21 sets of twins and one set of triplets.

In Sept. 28 ceremonies, UC s solar house began its journey to Washington, D.C. The entire house will be reassembled on the National Mall where hundreds of thousands of visitors will tour it.

UC students have remade thrift store garments and textiles into fashionable finds. A showing of their transformed treasures is set for Oct. 11 to benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

UC s Ryan Eder designed a wheelchair workout system to aid disabled individuals enjoy a better fitness routine. His design has already won BusinessWeek accolades and an international gold. Now, the public gets to exercise its right to vote!

BusinessWeek magazine is out today with its annual rankings of the world s premiere programs in design. Once again, UC made the A-List of D-Schools (design schools). And the university is prominently featured in accompanying coverage.

Raised in Zimbabwe, Jennifer Choto came to UC to earn her undergraduate architecture and interior design degrees in the nation s top-ranked programs here. Now, as an architecture graduate student, she s come full circle designing a library/community center for a community in Kenya.

A select group of high-status international firms today announced that the University of Cincinnati is receiving a highly competitive, in-kind contribution commercially valued at $420,687,132. UC is the first school in Ohio to ever receive this prestigious award which will further design and engineering education.
