Showcase 2008 displays and demonstrates tomorrow s technology today: A race track with hydrogen-powered cars, a green roof model where visitors can help water and grow that roof, and medical breakthroughs like a sniff test that can indicate the onset of neurological diseases.

Showcase 2008: UC Runs a Living Experiment of Alternative-Energy Technologies

UC's solar house will be back on campus as part of Showcase 2008. In the project, UC has partnered with area businesses both large (Procter & Gamble) and small (Aluminum Extruded Shapes) to see how everything from local consumer products to parts manufacturers can benefit from the new emphasis on sustainability.
