Darrell Miller (BFA Musical Theatre, ’85) has a powerful drive that has taken him to paneled boardrooms across the country. The Los Angeles-based lawyer was recently named in the inaugural list of Sports and Entertainment Trailblazers by The National Law Journal (NLJ).

University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music alumnus Edward Nelson (BM Voice, 2011; MM Voice, 2013) took home the first prize award at the 2020 Glyndebourne Opera Cup, an international competition designed to discover and spotlight the best young opera singers from around the world. Dame Janet Baker, the competition’s honorary president, gave Nelson his trophy, which was inspired by the golden lyre that Baker used in Glyndebourne's 1982 production of Orfeo ed Euridice.

Cincinnati audiences might not know Marissa Picciuto's name, but they've certainly seen her work on stage at UC's College-Conservatory of Music. She has worked behind the scenes of many productions, including CCM Acting's Clybourne Park last month. This spring, Picciuto graduates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Design, Props and Scenic Art with a specialization in props.

James Cannon, a pianist, and Bert Nelson, an organist, are not the typical music students you would find walking the halls at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music. Both are retired airline pilots with distinguished careers in the military who returned to school to study keyboard performance at CCM. Janelle Gelfand featured Cannon and Nelson in the Cincinnati Business Courier.

The concert features 10 student soloists from UC’s College-Conservatory of Music and the CCM Chamber Choir, led by Professor Earl Rivers.
