A University of Cincinnati researcher is recommending pediatric hospital emergency room consider screening for sexually transmitted infections, teenage and young patients who visit for other acute care issues. Findings by Dr. Mark Eckman, professor and director of the UC Division of General Internal Medicine, appear in the Journal of American Medical Association Pediatrics.
