UC alumni, fans engage in 'Crosstown Tip-off'

A "tip war" broke out in Cincinnati in January, with UC and Xavier fans topping each other's generous tips at local restaurants. In just one month, more than $34,000 has been raised to support area restaurant workers hurt by the pandemic.

University operator and legacy voicemail system unavailable during monthly maintenance window

The legacy voicemail system and university operator will be unavailable from 6-7 a.m., this Thursday, Feb. 18, during a scheduled maintenance window. Following the February 18 maintenance, IT@UC will update the servers that support the legacy (old) voicemail system and the university’s automated speech attendant (university operator) on a regular basis from 12-4 am on the first Thursday of each month.

Eat This, Not That: Early signs you have COVID-19 now, according to doctors

Ahmad Sedaghat, MD, PhD, is quoted in the online nutrition publication, Eat This, Not That, about the signs an individual is likely to be infected with COVID-19. Among various symptoms is the loss of a sense of smell. Dr. Sedaghat authored a study of COVID-19 patients which reported at least 61 percent experienced a loss or reduced sense of smell.
