The concert features 10 student soloists from UC’s College-Conservatory of Music and the CCM Chamber Choir, led by Professor Earl Rivers.

BBC News spotlights CCM professor’s family life during coronavirus lockdown

CCM faculty member Ric Hordinski recently found himself in the international spotlight after one of his daughters was asked to chronicle her life amidst the COVID-19 pandemic for BBC News. A photojournalism major at Ohio University, Madeleine Hordinski was one of three young Americans asked to keep video diaries chronicling her experiences during the coronavirus lockdown.

CCM student oboist wins NFMC's prestigious Carolyn Nelson Double Reed Award

May 14, 2020

UC College-Conservatory of Music graduate student Leo De La Cruz won the CCM Wind Studies concerto competition and he achieved an honorable mention at the 2020 Yamaha Young Performing Artists Competition. Most recently, he won the National Federation of Music Clubs’ Carolyn Nelson Double Reed Award, which includes a $1,250 cash prize.

FOX 19 features CCM E-Media’s ‘Hope After Hate’ project

Cincinnati news station FOX 19 interviewed UC College-Conservatory of Music E-Media Professor Hagit Limor about the innovative “Hope After Hate” project she is leading at CCM. Inspired by her own father’s experience during the Holocaust, Limor set out to create an immersive theatre and virtual reality project that shares his story with lessons to inspire action against acts of hatred and bigotry today.

CCM Composition welcomes guest artists for Zemlinsky events in 2021-22

The Composition Program at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music brings guest artists from five countries to Cincinnati throughout the 2021-22 school year. Visiting composers and guest artist ensembles present lectures and performances as part of the Alexander Zemlinsky Prize for Composition events.
