‘Filmatick’ makes TV, film impact with UC’s help

Mike Gasaway, former director of Nickelodeon's "Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" and creator of "Filmatick" is also making an impact as assistant professor of UC's Digital Media Collaborative program, sharing his expertise and program with more than 300 UC students.

Alumnus makes gift to University of Cincinnati LGBTQ Center

A University of Cincinnati alumnus has made a $200,000 gift to the university’s LGBTQ Center. Bruce Besanko, A&S ’82, retired Kohl’s chief financial officer, has created the Bruce Besanko Support Fund for the LGBTQ Center. The UC LGBTQ Center enhances the campus community for LGBTQ students and their allies through intentional advocacy, providing a safe space, intersectional programming, and access to culturally relevant resources. The Center has been on campus since 2011. Besanko says he wants to directly impact students who use the center as a resource. His gift will support both operational and direct student support.

Hoffman Honors Scholars honor University of Cincinnati alumnus

The estate of Hugh Hoffman, MBA ’63, has established a new scholarship program at three University of Cincinnati colleges. A $56 million gift will create the Hoffman Honors Scholars Program and support student-athletes with an extraordinary endowment.
