The University of Cincinnati s WISE Program Leads to WISE UC Undergraduate Women

A group of University of Cincinnati undergraduates participated this summer in UC s Research Experience for Women Undergraduates (REWU) program. Through this program, undergraduate women have been helping to solve complex problems in pediatrics, biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, medicine, pharmacy and engineering.

Associate Dean Paul Bishop Wins Prestigious Frontier Award

Paul Bishop, associate dean for research and Herman Schneider Professor of Environmental Engineering, has been named the 2005 recipient of the Frontier Award in Research by the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP). Bishop's award is in recognition for his exceptional research in the areas of biofilms and micro/nano electrodes.

UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Campaign

Students, faculty and staff at the University of Cincinnati may contribute to hurricane relief efforts at several on-campus locations. Funds raised through this effort will be provided to the Red Cross. UC is participating in a city-wide effort coordinated among Cincinnati's colleges and universities.
