Recent CCM graduate Teresa Perrotta (MM Voice, ’19; AD Opera Performance, ’21) has barely left CCM’s halls, but her successful career is already beginning. She is the starring voice on a new album of John Corigliano’s The Ghost of Versailles, recorded after the production’s premiere at the Glimmerglass Festival in 2019 during its appearance at the Château du Versailles itself later that year. Watch this mini-documentary by CCM Media Production to get an inside look at the dazzling collaboration between the college's Theatre Design and Production department and Hughes STEM High School art students. In spring 2021, UC College-Conservatory of Music Theatre Design and Production students partnered with Hughes STEM High School art students on a light show that was projected onto Hughes’ beautiful and historic façade. Themed around Afrofuturism and visions of the future, the project is supported of Prestige AV, Vincent Lighting Systems, Lightborne Communications and UC Forward.

Twenty-three current and incoming students competed for five coveted full-tuition scholarships and $50,000 in additional awards during CCM's 2021 Opera Scholarship Competition. Since its inauguration in 1976, this annual competition welcomes current and incoming CCM voice students to compete for scholarships and cash prizes. A panel of judges composed of opera industry professionals selects each year’s class of prizewinners.

The UC College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Wind Symphony releases a new recording, "Grand Pianola Music" on August 20 through Klavier Records. Featuring works by George Gershwin and John Adams, the recording showcases piano soloists Michael Chertock, Giuliano Graniti and Fabio Menchetti.
