UC undergrad finds success in publishing internship

UC undergraduate Mars Robinson understands as well as any the financial challenges that can face college students. A non-traditional student, Robinson took a break after high school graduation before entering UC’s College of Arts and Sciences to pursue an English major with an emphasis on creative writing. In the beginning, Robinson worked in a casino to pay tuition while she pursued her degree. The night work wasn’t compatible with her goals, she says, and she found herself mentally drained and struggling academically. Then, in 2021, she found an internship opportunity with the University of Cincinnati Press.

Need help deciding what to wear? She's building an app for that

Deciding what to wear soon could be a lot easier thanks to a virtual closet and personal styling app being created by a team led by a University of Cincinnati business student. Camryn Ellis, a third-year senior who plans to graduate in August, is creating an app that provides custom outfit recommendations and the ability to try on clothes virtually. With the app, Sty/e (pronounced style), she was one of the three winners of a pitch competition hosted by Main Street Ventures, called 2023 Launch It: Cincy.

He was unsure about the practicality of that degree, and his ability to pay off his future student loans through it.

WVXU: How university co-op programs help reduce student debt

After the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a plan to cancel student debt, many borrowers will have to start paying back their loans later this year. UC started its co-op program more than 100 years ago and continues to create more experienced-based learning opportunities for its students, even helping some students graduate debt free.

UC Blue Ash study abroad takes flight once again
