Lauren Prather, a graduate student in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the UC College of Allied Health Sciences, holds leadership positions in the National Black Association of Speech-Language and the UC Black Graduate and Professional Student Association. She helped bring the film "Talking Black in America" to UC as part of the University's observance of Black History Month.

UC and UC Health are hosting the third Tristate Opioid Symposium on March 25, 2020 at Kresge Auditorium. The symposium builds on the work of the UC/UC Health Opioid Task Force. Titled “Teaming Up to Take on the Opioid Epidemic,” the Tristate Opioid Symposium features guest speakers from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Johns Hopkins University and Bowling Green State University. The symposium will also feature abstracts from those doing novel research, clinical interventions, education and community outreach projects.
