UC invites students, faculty and staff to present at AI Symposium
Deadline extended to Jan. 17 to submit proposals for UC conference on artificial intelligence
University of Cincinnati Vice President and Chief Digital Officer Bharath Prabhakaran invites students, faculty and staff to share their knowledge and perspectives as part of the Digital Technology Solutions AI Symposium, Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at Tangeman University Center.
The daylong event will include keynote presentations from artificial intelligence experts and breakout sessions led by UC students, faculty and staff.
“We encourage submissions that offer innovative insights, practical solutions and forward-thinking perspectives in the realm of AI,” Prabhakaran said. “The symposium is an excellent opportunity for you to share your expertise, network with peers and contribute to the digital transformation happening at UC.”
Breakout session presentations will focus on the following areas:
- AI in Education and Learning Technologies.
- AI-Driven Research and Development.
- Innovation and AI.
- Ethics, Policy, and Social Impact of AI.
Submit your breakout session presentation proposal form by Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024. Digital Technology Solutions will notify selected presenters by Friday, Jan. 26, 2024.
Breakout Presentation Focus Areas & Sample Topics
- Focus: Exploring how AI is revolutionizing teaching and learning methods, personalized learning, adaptive learning systems, AI in curriculum design and the impact of AI on student engagement and outcomes.
- Sample Topics: The future of AI in education, case studies of successful AI implementation in universities, ethical considerations in AI for education.
- Focus: Delving into how AI is aiding in research methodologies, data analysis, predictive analytics in research trends, AI in laboratory management, and enhancing academic research capabilities.
- Sample Topics: Breakthroughs in AI-assisted research, AI in scientific discovery, collaboration between AI and traditional research fields.
- Focus: Exploring the Widespread Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Across Various Sectors. This theme delves into how AI is revolutionizing not just educational institutions but also businesses, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and other key industries. The discussion will cover how AI is transforming operations, management, customer service, and product development. It will also explore AI's role in driving innovation, enhancing efficiency, and predicting trends.
- Sample Topics: Case studies of AI-driven success in different sectors, the integration of AI in everyday business processes, the transformative role of AI in healthcare and finance, emerging trends in AI and machine learning across various industries, and the future of AI in fostering global innovation and economic growth.
