Mechanical engineering student wants to improve consumer products

University of Cincinnati mechanical engineering undergraduate student Alex Kopf-Moore will earn both his master's and bachelor's degrees next spring through the Accelerated Engineering Degree program. Influenced by a co-op internship at GE Appliances in Louisville, he plans to become a design engineer for consumer products.

Local firm SHP honors young UC alumnus through engineering scholarships

SHP, an architectural and design firm based in Cincinnati, hosts an annual golf tournament to raise funds in memory of a former employee to provide scholarships to two incoming students in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati. Josh Gentry, a UC alumnus, worked for SHP at the time of his death at age 27.

Auto industry inspires mechanical engineering student

University of Cincinnati mechanical engineering student Patrick Draper chose his major because of an interest in the automotive industry. As a student, he's interned at Valvoline Engine Laboratory, served as president of American Society of Mechanical Engineers on campus, and started a dirt-track racing team with an old car.
