UC Moves a Step Closer to Engineering Cells Via Foam

The groundbreaking research of Hyo-Jick Choi, UC research assistant professor, was recently featured in the February issue of Nanotechnology. Choi and his colleagues have discovered that ranaspumin-2 foam the foam nests of frogs shows potential as a biochemical reactor. This discovery brings us a step closer to the reproduction of in vitro engineering.

UC Expands Scholarship Support for Education Related to Robotics

UC's Office of the President and College of Engineering and Applied Science are increasing support for robotics education. In fall 2013, two new FIRSTĀ® Robotics Scholarships were awarded to incoming engineering students. Next fall, 25 such scholarships will be offered.
