CCM Wind Symphony welcomes Lakota East guest ensemble in season finale on April 21

The CCM Wind Symphony closes their 2023-24 season with “Urban Requiem,” a concert that contemplates the complex emotions of endings while celebrating the life-affirming sounds of a big band. Joined by the members of the Hinotori Saxophone Quartet and the Lakota East High School Winds, the Wind Symphony’s final concert features Michael Colgrass’s “Urban Requiem,” for four saxes and wind orchestra and Steven Bryant’s blockbuster “Concerto for Wind Ensemble.” Tickets are on sale now through the CCM Box Office.

UC Clermont to host Rapid Application Events in May

UC Clermont will hold free Rapid Application Events on campus Wednesday, May 10, at 6 p.m., and Friday, May 12, at 10 a.m. The last day to apply for admission to the college for fall semester 2023 is July 1.

Alumna Anita Graef named Taft Museum Duncanson Artist-in-Residence

Cincinnati’s Taft Museum has named Anita Graef (MM Cello ’19) the 2023 Duncanson Artist-in-Residence. The residency is designed to center the work of black artists from a variety of disciplines, and includes performances and educational events around the Cincinnati area. Graef, who was a CSO/CCM Diversity Fellow, will perform April 16, 21 and 29 as part of her Duncanson Residency.

CCM Dance presents excerpts from 'Sleeping Beauty' and 'Swan Lake' plus new premiere on April 13-16

CCM Dance caps its 2022-23 season with “Fairies, Swans and Still Waters” April 13-16 in Corbett Auditorium. The program is centered around the world premiere of “Still Waters,” with choreography by Shauna Steele and music by DMA Composition student Grace Choi. Selections from two of the most beloved works of the classical ballet repertoire bookend the premiere: Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. Accomplished theatremaker and educator Chaz Wolcott joins CCM’s faculty

UC College-Conservatory of Music Interim Dean Jonathan Kregor has announced the addition of Chaz Wolcott to the college’s roster of distinguished performing and media arts faculty members. An accomplished director, choreographer, actor and educator, Wolcott’s appointment as Assistant Professor-Educator of Musical Theatre begins on Aug. 15, 2023.
