College Gazette lists CCM in 10 best performing arts colleges in the US

The College Gazette recently released its picks for the top 10 universities for the performing arts in the United States. The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music ranked number two, just behind the University of North Texas and one spot ahead of Indiana University in Bloomington.

View digital programs for upcoming CCM performances

During the 2022-23 performance season, the UC College-Conservatory of Music will continue to offer digital programs for all of its free and ticketed events in place of printed programs. These paperless programs will be available on CCM's website, and they can also be accessed via smartphone/mobile device by scanning the Quick Response (QR) code displayed outside of each CCM performance venue.

CCM Wind Symphony welcomes Lakota East guest ensemble in season finale on April 21

The CCM Wind Symphony closes their 2023-24 season with “Urban Requiem,” a concert that contemplates the complex emotions of endings while celebrating the life-affirming sounds of a big band. Joined by the members of the Hinotori Saxophone Quartet and the Lakota East High School Winds, the Wind Symphony’s final concert features Michael Colgrass’s “Urban Requiem,” for four saxes and wind orchestra and Steven Bryant’s blockbuster “Concerto for Wind Ensemble.” Tickets are on sale now through the CCM Box Office.

CCM hosts daylong Trombone Summit for aspiring musicians of all abilities

UC’s College-Conservatory of Music hosts a daylong Trombone Summit for musicians of all ages and experience levels on March 4, 2023. The event features a recital and master class by guest artist Peter Steiner, 2019 Prize Winner of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition; and Constanze Hochwartner.

Watch the CCM Philharmonia's Sept. 20 performance

In addition to the CCMONSTAGE Online series of digital concerts and performing arts productions, the UC College-Conservatory of Music is also presenting virtual performances through its CCMONSTAGE Archives companion series. Our newest installment in this ongoing series features the CCM Philharmonia student orchestra performing Antonín Dvořák's Serenade for Wind Instruments, Op. 44 (1878) and Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 103 in E-flat Major, D. 944 (“Drumroll”) (1795). Led by Director of Orchestral Studies Mark Gibson, this archival performance footage was recorded in Corbett Auditorium on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020.
