PROFILE: Peace Corps Leads Student to Study Planning

University of Cincinnati student Rebekah Kranch of Mansfield, Ohio, spent two years in the Peace Corps where she taught English in Bulgaria. This fall, she started as a master s student in UC s School of Planning and is now organizing home-buying classes in Over-the-Rhine.

Freshmen Fine Tune Old Appliances, Make Music For Their Peers

Take note: Freshman from the University of Cincinnati are banding together in small groups so they can turn cast-off ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers into musical instruments.  Then, they ll provide a free concert of original compositions at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, in Auditorium 4400 of the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning.
