Prices high at the start of Ohio’s recreational marijuana sales

While recreational marijuana is now legal in Ohio, consumers have noticed that prices are higher at Ohio dispensaries compared to other states such as Michigan, WCPO reported. Keshar Ghimire, PhD, an associate professor of economics at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, said it’s not surprising that prices in Ohio are higher than elsewhere.

CCM doctoral student appointed as May Festival Conducting Fellow

The Cincinnati May Festival has announced the appointment of Andrew Miller, a first-year DMA student in CCM’s renowned choral conducting program, as its Conducting Fellow for the 2024-25 season. Miller, who will serve as the assistant conductor for the May Festival Chorus this year, recently completed his master’s degree at the University of Louisville.

'60 years strong and ready for next'

A renovated Siddall Hall reopens with eyes on the future and an appreciation for the past. About 200 people gathered for speeches, photos and a ribbon-cutting for UC's newest living area for students. The event offered visitors a peek at the completion of an $85 million renovation. Several Cincinnati media covered the unveiling.

Tony Nominee Dorian Harewood receives BFA from CCM

Tony nominee Dorian Harewood was honored with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music on August 8. Harewood studied at CCM, but left the university in 1972 prior to graduating to pursue his first acting offer.
