Biomedical engineering merges student’s interests

Rachel Rosteck will graduate this spring from the University of Cincinnati with her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and her master’s degree in mechanical engineering, which she earned through the ACCEND program. Rosteck was named Undergraduate Engineer of the Month by the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers celebrates 50 years

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) has been uplifting and empowering Hispanic Engineers nationwide for the last 50 years. The SHPE chapter at the University of Cincinnati is one of nearly 300 university chapters in the U.S. Founded in 1973 by a Hispanic civil engineer working in Los Angeles, SHPE was created to increase professional support for Hispanic engineers and provide a sense of community in an area where representation is lacking.
