University to Streamline Information Technology Programs

Starting in the fall, the University of Cincinnati will simplify and streamline a number of its Information Technology programs. Instead of six overlapping programs once offered by three academic units, the university will offer a single full-time and a single part-time associate-degree and baccalaureate-degree option out of the College of Applied Science.

At one time, three academic units of the University of Cincinnati offered six overlapping information technology programs. It was a system that didn t quite add up. In September 2004, UC s College of Applied Science replaced the formerly disparate programs with a single full-time and a single part-time associate-degree and baccalaureate-degree option. The new option is adding students like never before.

German graphic design student Nina Schoele had her pick of 10 schools throughout the U.S. and Australia where she might have gone for her international studies. Nina, 23, a student at Germany's Aachen University of Applied Sciences, opted for the University of Cincinnati because of the school's prestigious design program.

UC Aerospace Celebrates 75 Years of Excellence
