Master s in Health Informatics Program Approved

July 19, 2012

A new distance learning degree from the College of Allied Health Sciences has been approved by the Ohio Board of Regents. The Master s in Health Informatics program, designed to train students in the management and analysis of healthcare or biomedical data, will be a collaborative distance learning degree between Allied Health Sciences and UC s Carl Lindner College of Business.

CAHS Student Receives Nutrition Research Award

Julia Piazza, master s student in nutritional sciences at UC s College of Allied Health Sciences, received a 2012 Student Research Award from the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) at the society s annual conference last week in Washington, D.C.

Focus on Students with Dora Murphy

February 27, 2013

Audiology doctorate student Dora Murphy is in her final year of studies at UC s College of Allied Health Sciences. The Ohio Academy of Audiology recently named Murphy as their 2013 Outstanding Student, which recognizes a student who has demonstrated outstanding clinical achievement and patient care, the highest level of scholastic achievement and exceptional service to the profession of audiology.

CAHS Service Learning Experience in Mexico 2014

Scheifele Named Military's Top Dog for Canine Audiology

Animal audiology researcher Peter Scheifele, PhD, director of the Facility for the Education and Testing of Canine Hearing and laboratory for Animal Bioacoustics (FETCH~LAB) at the University of Cincinnati, has been designated as the subject matter expert (SME) for United States Army military working dog audiology.
