Organized retail theft is on the rise and shows little hope of slowing down. Karl Langhorst, an adjunct professor of criminal justice and retail theft expert, was interviewed by Fox 19 on the topic of organized retail crime. Langhorst teaches a course at UC on retail loss prevention and is also a consultant in the retail industry.

Among nearly 10 million American infants born between 2016 and 2018, breastfed babies were 33% less likely to die during the post-perinatal period (day 7-364) than infants who were not breastfed, reports a new study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, published by Elsevier. The Guardian posted an article on the research, quoting co-investigators Jane Ware, MD, and Ardythe Morrow, MD, both of the Department of Pediatrics in the UC College of Medicine.
