A partnership between Cincinnati Children’s and regional institutions, including the UC College of Nursing, is supporting associate degree nursing students through their two-year program and a successive bachelor’s program to improve access and care for minority and medically underserved populations.

GE Aerospace expands Next Engineers program for Cincinnati youth

May 15, 2024

GE Aerospace Foundation is investing further in its Next Engineers program, including the Cincinnati location facilitated by the University of Cincinnati, extending the program locally through 2028. Engineering Academy, a three-year engineering education program for high-schoolers, graduated its first cohort of students. Students who complete the program and go on to pursue an engineering degree in college will receive a scholarship.

As artificial intelligence rapidly integrates into everyday life, Rob Richardson, CEO and founder of Disrupt Now and MidwestCon and local tech startup partner of the University of Cincinnati 1819 Innovation Hub, recently spearheaded the Responsible AI Symposium with Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval, calling upon community leaders to discuss and ensure artificial intelligence technologies help users rather than harm.
