UC College-Conservatory of Music alum Alex Gartner (BM Music Education ‘12) recently finished a commission in partnership with a coalition of memory care associations, including TimeSlips Creative Storytelling (Milwaukee, WI) and Dementia Inclusive Durham (Durham, NC). The piece “Toward Something New” will be premiered by the Durham Children’s Choir in late May.

The University of Cincinnati's nationally ranked and internationally renowned College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is now accepting applications for its new Master of Music in Music Education. The degree program is specifically designed for music teachers who want to remain active in the classroom while continuing their education. The practical degree program can be completed in three summers and provides a high-quality, individualized curriculum for all music teachers.

UC College-Conservatory of Music alumni pianist Andrew Haug (BM Jazz Studies, ‘18), bassist Noah Simionides (BM Jazz Studies, ‘17) and drummer Charlie Schefft (BM Music Education, ‘19) teamed up four years ago to create On a Limb, a jazz-influenced instrumental trio. The ensemble has experienced significant successes, including tour dates around the United States and now the release of its second album, Replaying the Tapes.

UC College-Conservatory of Music alumnus Harrison Sheckler (BM Piano, '19) brought together musicians along with Major League Baseball starts to perform a virtual rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," including former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo.

CCM's "stars of tomorrow" are back on stage, and you get the best seats in the house! The third episode of CCMONSTAGE Online is now available for on-demand viewing. Originally broadcast on Friday, March, 19, "Together/Apart" is an hour-long virtual concert featuring the CCM Chamber Choir under the direction of accomplished new faculty member Joe Miller, who was named the director of CCM's lauded Choral Studies program in 2020.

UC's College-Conservatory of Music is proud to present alumni and distinguished service awards to outstanding members of our community at the end of each academic year. The 2023 awards are presented to five accomplished alumni and one dedicated patron in a private virtual event as well as during the CCM's Graduation Convocation Ceremony on Friday, April 28.
